Default Ls1 carbureted..

I have a 1999 ls1 from a camaro. And i want to go for carbureted because it will go into a 70 camaro.
So my question.. Is.. Is it possible to get around 500hk and not use to much money.. What kind of parts and carburetor shell i use??

Good Old Holley will work great imo. Depending on goals, 700-750cfm should work just fine.

If i'm reading this article correctly, they got about 20 more HP out of the carb version than the EFI version? Wow
