Default qa1 front springs?

How do you guys know what spring to go with on the front end using a hal spring? My buddies car has no a/c,p/s,heat.swaybar, lightweight front end parts. So we can assume its a light frontend but what spring do we use, Oh yea its a Lt1 with 4l60e. I have a 275 and 300 laying around I just would like to know whats recommended for best weight transfer.
P.S. car is rarely street driven, if it is only to the track and back
thanks,Tom

my lt1 is the same with no a/c, ps, etc and the 275s still barely hold the front end up. I mean i still have probably 2.5" inches on the shock to jack the front end up, but it's very very soft and I wince everytime i hit a dip in the road. I'm probably going to stick with the 275s because i'm poor and lazy, but if i had to do it again i'd go with at least the 300# spring

Well all I know is that they recommend the 325s for stock weight cars. So I'd imagine 275s would be for very light cars or rear racecars, but idk
