Default Vortech S trim superchargers???

Was thinking about buying a camaro with a vortech s trim supercharger on it. Does anyone here run a vortech s trim on there fbody?? I was told it dont build instant boost is that true? The car is a m6. I had a STS turbo in the past with a m6 and there was slight turbo lag after shifting into gears would the s trim do that also or will it be more instant? Also are these self contained superchargers and how much boost can the strim put out?

The boost rises in direct proportion to the rpm of the motor. It does make some boost off idle, but doesn't start getting noteworthy until around 3000, solid midrange and a stout top-end.

These are not self contained units, they must be fed engine oil and have a drain punched into your pan at a specific point, but it isn't hard.

Yshould be able to get well into the 5xxrwhp range with an S-trim and an intercooler, perhaps low 600rwhp.

Best compression ratio is probably in the 9.5-10:1 range with a good IC. Throttle response should be very sharp with a proprer tune.

The Si-trim is available in V-1 and V-2 versions, the V-1 has a step-up ratio of 3.42:1 and the V-2 (Superquiet) gearbox has the 3.62:1 ratio.
