Default Coolant eating gaskets?

A few months ago I changed my water pump gaskets because one was leaking very little. That fixed it.
Now I noticed it always looks wet around the coolant crossover tube, the one that goes to the throttle body, it always collects dust where it connects to the heads.
Is this normal? it's an '01 with 89,000 miles.

Thanks.

I had the Dexcool flushed and replaced in my 98 Z28 because the car is over 10 yrs old and the very next day I had a coolant leak from the water pump; ended up haing to replace the pump.
