Default Limitations of 2001 lq4 truck intake?

I am swapping an 01 lq4 into an 89 Iroc bracket racer/ strip only project. What are the limitations of the truck intake? I plan on using nitrous and turning 6500 rpm? This is a budget build so the less parts I have to buy the better. Your input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
James

i've heard the truck intake is optimized for lower end torque.....and tends to fall on its face in the upper rpm.

you would do better off finding an ls6 intake....or better yet a FAST.

heck even a carb setup
