Seen it happen due to over-tightened/torqued lug nuts or from them being too loose!

Happened a couple of times with my 97 dually. Bought tires at Sears. They must have stood on the impact. They were the only people that touched the tires since that was where I bought them. Would go back to have them rotated and they would snap at least 2 studs everytime. That was back in late 1990's before they new how to use a torque wrench. The thinking back then was use the biggest impact they could and tighten the hell out of them until they screamed.

Ya, I've had that happen a few times in the past. They're pretty easy to swap out though, so its not that big of a deal.

Well, at least this'll give me the opportunity to change out my pads and rotors, while going to some stronger studs. ARP maybe?!

Hey, at least it didn't happen while you were in the middle of a wheelstand. Saw that happen at my track and it wasn't pretty.
