Default What Times Should I Expect?? 3.73's vs 4.10s?

Whats Up Everyone I have a 2002 z28 a4 this car is my dd and i am not sure on picking 3.73 gears vs 4.10s while i wait for my check to come in i am seeing if i should go to 4.10s I am not sure how much of a difference its going to make if i get the 4.10s instead of the 3.73s e/t wise. my current setup is
Pacesetter Lt's
3' Flowmaster Single Chambers with 3' piping
Slp Lid and Cai
My Best 1/4 mile time is 13.3 off the bottle at 109 mph
I take this car to the track as much as i can mabye a few times a month i am just trying to figure out what would be best for my e/t wise
thanks for all the help!

4.10's is a lot IMO for a DD. I have 3.70's and it is still kind of annoying on highway trips. If you are looking for all out ET's then go for the 4.10's... that is if you don't do highway much or care about MPG/RPM's.

thanks guys but do u really think that getting the 4.10s will make that much of a difference in the 1/4 mile due to traction issues? it will be a lot harder to hook up. than the 3.73's

You should be fine with a locking converter, That gives you some mph to work with. You can use the gear calculator to find out your max locked speed in 3rd gear.

I don't really think you will notice a difference between 3.73's and a 4.10's with a stalled auto. Its not going to be fun to drive on the highway either. A cam will gain you a hell of a lot more than 4.10's. I would think the TR224 should give you a good 3-5 mph improvement. I would look into the EL Torro 230/230 cam there has been some great results with that cam and it still drives good on the street.
