Default LS1 Dipstick Removal

I removed the bolt that secures the dipstick tube to the block and the tube just spins. Other thread said just pull and yank it and it will eventually...but that was for the LT1. Is it the same procedure on the LS1?

i think its got a little oring at the bottom of the dipstick housing. i could be wrong. that could be the resistance your feeling.

yes on the 0-ring.. just spary some WD40 or something on it and give it a good pull/twist...
