probably what did you torque them down to? I know its different from the rest and easy to overtighten them

what side is it leaking from?if its the passenger side i would check the o-ring on the dipstick tube.

I did a cam swap on my car this weekend and had to drop the pan to change the oil pump..... after getting everything done I have a pretty good leak coming from right above the oil filter.... cant tell exactly where but it runs down and drips off the filter. I changed the filter thinking I had pinched the seal on it, but it still does it with the new filter.... im curious what you find out.....

How did you align the front and rear seal carriers? Last big leaker I worked on had the rear seal carrier installed waaaay too high on the block, leaving lots of room for oil leakage.

The inverse would also be true...install the rear seal carrier too low, and there's no way the oil pan would seal against the block skirts.

Aside from the seal carrier alignment issue I mentioned above, improper torque is a killer.

Aluminum parts + no torque wrench = fail.

As you're removing the pan and dropping $$ on another new oil pan gasket, you'll have time to consider the value of a good torque wrench.

No one asked if you prepped the surface good on the block and pan? We would assume that you have but it wasnt mentioned. Might try just a dab of silicone around the back corners or all the way around if you wanna make sure.
