Default fuel rail

i have a '03 5.3 and was wondering how to tell the difference between a regulator or damper on the fuel rail? thanks pics would sure help

If you do some digging on Rockauto.com, you can find pics of stuff. Here are couple pics for ya to gander at. It looks like the regulator must be part of the regulator to me, but I could be wrong.

A regulator will control the amount of fuel pressure to or in the fuel rail. A Damper on a LS1 type of fuel rail with only a inlet and no return will use a Damper to control surging or quick sudden changes in fuel pressure to keep from damaging the injectors.
