Default What head/cam for 460ci BBC to reach 600 bhp?

Alright my buddy can't make his dang mind up so I've come to you. This is with a stock cast crank so if he has to get a forged crank he will. We were looking at brodix heads but it doesn't have to be. What head/cam(prefer hydraulic roller) would you go with for a 460ci BBC that doesn't have to spin higher than 5500-6000rpms to reach 600 bhp? Thanks for any help.

If I ever decide to build a BBC it will more than likely be with AFR heads...

I personally like the Brodix heads.

I wouldn't run a stock cast crank at 600hp. Call Ohio Crank on a rotating assy.

Call Bullet Cams for one. They are easy to work with and will custom build anything you want.

The cast crank is fint if a machine shop checks it out, they are good to 700 HP most of the time, but aftermarket cranks are cross drilled for better oiling at higher RPMs. But 781 stock oval port castings with big valves and a bit of port clean up with a hy roller cam with 240/244 duration @.050 and near .600 lift on a 110 LSA can reach those power goals if you have near 10 to 1 compression.

That si the cheap way, BUT i would NEVER use the stock 3/8s rods. Use the dimple 7/16 or aftermarket to hold the power.
