transmission to block bolts Please help

Default transmission to block bolts Please help

are the bolt that bolt the trans to the engine metric ??? i was told there standARD but it stripped a tread with little pressure

they shoud be metric i dont remember anything on my LS being standard when i did my swap

they are metric cant remember exact size.

thanks i stripped 3 of them dont know what to do now might have to heli coil them!!
someone told me they where 3/8 -16 x 1 1/2 inch long but there metric!!

I think they are 8mm x 1.25mm x 38mm. All bolt, nut and threads on the GEN III / IV engines are metric.

ok now what will i have to do they are stripped heli coil ?? or tap them out to next size i have no clue ??

not sure on the length off the top of my head but they will be a 10mm x 1.50 thread pitch bolt

they are a 13 mm bolt but the threads are the same as a 9/16 s bolt, i pulled my motor last week and when i put it on the engine stand i used the same exact bolts as u use for my old small blocks, screwed them in with my fingers, so i know they fit

10mm-1.5 x 35

A 3/8-16 bolt will thread in (loosely) but as the OP found out, they WILL STRIP when any kind of torque load is applied!

What are the bolt torque settings of the transmission (T56) to the engine block?
I found the BTS of the clutch housing to transmission to be 26lb.ft. but not transmission to engine. Are they the same torque?
