Default On the Bump stops

i need some help. My 99 camaro SS is sitting on the bump stops. I have Lg rear springs and koni shocks. The car is sitting on the bump stops, what is going on. Would the springs be bad or the shocks?

The springs are bad. Springs are what affects ride height.

Are you actually sitting on the bumpstops or just close to them? Because that might be normal depending on how low the springs are meant to be. The axle when the suspension is loaded is not too far away from the bumpstops on lowering springs.

Why? That isn't his problem. If he is sitting on the bumpstops he has other issues.

Sounds like the springs are bad. If you need a set i have them available as a set of four or you can buy front or rear pairs separately. Our springs lower your car 1.25" with the front spring rate of 550lbs and the rears 160lbs. Our springs will work well with the koni's and you shouldn't have any issues with riding on the bumpstops. We have lowered the price for all four springs to $229.95. Front or rears are $119.95 per pair. They are also guaranteed for life against spring sag. If you have any questions please give me a call.

Bingo!
Most people don't realize how little suspension travel they have with lowering springs. So if he removes the bump stop spacers he'll regain 1/2" of compression travel which will help. The springs might be bent if they've been on the car a long time, but I doubt it.

What you ride height front, and rear?
Remember, the LG spring do lower more than most lowering springs, the listed drop is 1.5"
Also do you have the rear loaded down with stereo equiptment?

Taking the stops off is not the answer, all you are doing is removing progressive, rising rate wheel rate. You'll "gain" travel, and then things are going to get real nasty when you run out of it (and you will).

I have a few pair of rear springs here that came in without matching fronts. I know they'll work with the front rate just fine, and they'll give you a lot more travel. $150 shipped. What's ironic here is I remember telling you that would happen with those springs years ago--and here we are. Luckily have a remedy for you...
