need help ls1 swap

need help ls1 swap i got a 1993 trans am i swap a ls1 motor in can i still use my powersteering rack or do i got to get the ls1 rack for it because im having a hard time connecting the steering shaft to the powersteering rack or does any one know were i could get a manual rack
