You have to trim the bottom of the air box where it's sitting on the frame and after that the hood will close.

My TSP 85 mm lid doesn't rub at all but then again, I have a VFN 3'' SS hood so it could be for that reason. Perfect fit & immediately SOTP performance. My gas mileage also increased. I used to get 110 miles on half tank going 75 mph on cruise control. Now I hit 135 miles by half tank so it's a significant increase.

So pretty much I just dremel the whole bottom down an inch or two? That doesn't sound too bad

I would trim to much just trim it evenly a little bit and at the front part of the air box and then put it back on and check and see how it fits and then if you need to trim more then trim a little bit more. I know how you feel I'm on my second lid but my tuner trimmed mine and it doesn't rub at all. I don't know if they broke it the first time or I broke mine. Cause that lid and forcing it shut, something has to give at sometime. I think as said above he has an aftermarket hood that's why he has no problem.

Yeah, as a matter a fact, the improvement was over an aftermarket lid......It was after I swapped out a "Stealth Lid" that used the Corvette air filter. It was an old type of lid that no longer is in production & the snout on it was very oval & narrow. This was a HUGE improvement......Much happier now......

Mine fits but rubs a little, and occasionally pops the metal clips off. I never thought of cutting.

I have the FTP 104, and it rubs a little on my stock hood. That's with the trimming for the ram air kit.
