Exclamation Starts without pressing clutch

Purchasing 2000 Trans Am this week.
At dealer today and was making sure everything was okay.
Decided to test out if the car would start without pressing the clutch.. sure enough it did. The car is modified for the most part.

I know that this could be a mod but could it be something else?
Also does anyone know how to reverse the mod?

Thank You
Jason

Follow the clutch pedal up under the dash just off to the left a bit is a plastic switch that he pedal pushes in. If that switch is stuck in you can start the car with out pushing in the pedal. The switch might be bad or just jammed in.
