My Z/28 and Dad's Mustang
This is the GT that my dad just bought yesterday. The car has been in the family before. My older brother bought the car about 6 years ago when he was 18. He sold it about a year and a half later (2004) after he bought a house and couldn't afford to hold onto it. It was a really special car to him and us as well. This car really got me into muscle cars and was the reason I bought my camaro. Well a little over 3 years ago my brother was killed in a motorcycle accident.
Just this past winter my dad decided to start trying to find this mustang. He had the VIN number and knew a guy at the local sheriffs office who found the guys name who owned it. I looked up the guys phone number and called him up, he said that he wasn't interested in selling it so I just told him who to call when he decided to. My dad started really wanting the car, so he talked to the guy a few more times. Finally last weekend we get the call that he was willing to sell it. So my dad went yesterday and picked it up.
This car has huge sentimental value with our family and will never get sold again. When my brother sold the car it had around 45,000 miles. What really suprised me is that two owners and 5 years later it only has 55,000 miles on it, and the only thing that changed on the car was that the window tint was removed and a new clutch.
Here are a few pictures, I know there are things that could be done to it that will make it look a little better. I plan to buy my dad some smoked and clear corner headlights, deep dish 10.5" bullitts for the back, and window tint ASAP. The only mods on the car are CAI, cat-back system, eibach springs, and the Saleen front bumper/spoiler. Headers and X-Pipe are on the list.
Here are a few quick pictures I took today. The Blue is definately a different color, really need to see it in person to like it IMO.

That's a beautiful color of blue on that Mustang. I'm happy that you guys were able to track it down and get her back. It will be a very nice tribute car to your brother.
