Default What kind of exhaust is this?

Hi guys, sorry I don't have pics yet but I was wondering if someone could tell me by description. I have a 99 z/28 camaro and the exhaust on it is a single in dual out muffler. The inlet comes in on the passenger side and it has dual pipes and that exit the muffler on the drivers side and come out side-by-side on the drivers side only. I have never seen this setup before and want to know what it is. Thanks for the help

Brad

That sounds like the 2OTL(2 on the left) exhaust setup. Im sure someone can elaborate more on it, or just do a search for that.

Ok. I love the sound of the exhaust, its just not loud enough for me right now, Im twenty and I love loud exhausts, my fox body stang is heard a mile away. So Im looking to upgrade to something with a very deep tone. Im leaning towards a loudmouth I right now, but am definately up for suggestions. What do you think? I want it as deep as possible for low end, but loud enough to be threatening. Thanks

Just change the muffler, get a Flowmaster 40 series with the same single in/dual out configuration. I have an SLP 2OTL on my 91' with a Magnaflow muffler. it has a smaller case than the SLP muffler did. It's not overpowering, but when you ride with the windows down - you realize it's fairly loud.

Before you change out that exhaust, do you have cats? If so, ditch them.

You will not like the loudmouth if you run without cats.

Is the loudmouth just not that good sounding of an exhaust?

Exhaust is a matter of opinion. The general opinion of SLP's Loudmouth systems is very negative, but my opinion is that Loudmouth is a great sounding exhaust. Here is my ride with LM catback before and after adding LT's and a Catted Y-pipe. Please don't let anyone tell you what sounds good and what doesn't. Decide for yourself what you like.
