Magnaflow are quiet at idle and sound good at WOT. They flow good and are also stainless. Cant beat it.

SLP dual/dual if you can find one used, almost as quiet as stock, if you want something a bit louder go with the Hooker. Ive had it on 2 cars and even with longtubes and no cats its very tame till your in it.

Hooker makes a pretty quiet catback for a reasonable price. Magnaflow is really mellow at idle, but it does get a bit louder at WOT. Its tough to beat the Magnaflow's price for a full stainless system.

The Hooker, but as mentioned the dual/dual is a very desirable piece... nice and quiet and flows well.

i have the magnaflow on my car it is pretty quiet at idleing and cruising i have a A4 z28. so the rpms are prob higher cruising than the m6, but its not too bad. i cant wait to get longtubes for my car to see how it makes it sound. but i heard the loudness of hooker and magnaflow are very similar just diffrent tones to the exhaust.

If you want quiet and good flow, Magnaflow and SLP Dual Dual are the ****.

Here's my SLP D/D setup:

I think Magnaflow would win the quiet contest with Hooker if it weren't for those cannon tips. Replacing them with 2.5" tailpipes will make for a very quiet catback.

The Hooker is very quiet on near-stock and bolt on applications with cats. I used it in a couple of combos and it's almost too quiet until you get into very free-breathing set-ups.

Here's the jegs catback for reference. This is my car. Its very quiet on the hwy, mellow at idle, and deep and throaty at WOT.

Is the SLP D/D the factory SLP Camaro muffler? I hate loudmouth and was unaware SLP made any other exhaust.

Back to the thread I had magnaflow and my buddy had hooker and you wont be dissapointed with either one. I liked the hooker because of the tips.

the hooker is pretty quiet as well, and has a nice sound at wide open throttle but like they said if you really want quiet the slp d/d setup is hard to beat.

Dual Dual came on many factory SSs and WS6s.

I had the magnaflow for a while but with cam and headers I hated the raspy sound it had. I tried many combos and ended up with duals out the back. It's loud but really deep. What do ya have on it now? Just wait till the cam is in.

The SLP DD flows good for as tame as it is; until you're in the throttle.

Oh yea that's right. If you had the pipes ran out the back it wouldn't be near as loud.
