Default My 700hp SBC powered 240sx

I don't think I have ever posted it here, but none the less, a few shots.

Mckinney Motorsports developed a mount kit and oil pan/pickup for a direct bolt in swap off my engine. Been driving it around for sometime and it has been running pretty well except for the few bugs here and there. Haven't been to the track with it yet since it still on 205s.

More about the car here

Video of it starting without exhaust
With Exhaust on

Engine: Dart SHP short block, Dart Top end kit with Pro 1 heads, Holley HP 830 CFM carb, all Comp Cams valvetrain, Pertronix ignition, Holley fuel system.

Drivetrain: Tremec TKO-600, SPEC stage 3+ clutch, SPEC flywheel, custom driveshaft.

No driving vids yet. It makes 525 on motor, makes power to 6600rpm and makes 425 lb/ft by 2500rpm

With the 205s on it still, I don't get any traction except for 4th-5th gear AND on a good road.

Thats a lot of money in that setup.

Why didnt you just go LSX? that EFI system is like 1500-2k alone.

Still cool though

But can I just say something. That was the single gayest wink I've ever seen in that first vid..

I didn't want to be another LSx powered 240 and went with the less travel road on the traditional small block. The motor is a 400 and the exhaust is an ebay Apexi N1 dual that had the front front side chopped off and made into an H pipe, the rest is the way it came, 2.5" all the way back

First time to the track with the car, no diff and I didnt want to break parts so I was running higher tire pressure and leaving soft. It will go 7.20s or so when I get it dialed in (low 11s/high 10s in the quarter mile)

It should go A LOT FASTER than that. My LS1 RX7 does 123mph with 415whp.... with a diff and tire setup with 700hp there's no reason you shouldn't be in the 9's.

That run was just all motor. I don't know if any nitrous runs will be seen on this motor anymore. First week of Feb it will get the FAST EZ EFI, new fuel system, and a complete Mallory ignition.
