Default HID fog light question

I installed HIDs in my fog lights when i bought my car, I had the kit in my cadillac so all I needed was the bulbs, $20. I know some of the caddy guys that put them in the fog lights could fix the relay so the fog lights would stay on while the high beams were on. Has anybody tried this with our cars?

Those fogs look great. Got a few questions for ya. Do you need separate ballasts for the fog lights or are they just replacement bulbs? Are those an 880 bulb? And, what temp are they - 6000k, 8000k, etc...? I'm lookin to do something similar.
