Default My freakin oil pressure!!!!

Hey everyone.I really need help with this one.I recently swapped engines on my 98 Z28.It mostly went smoothly until first the first run.I had 0 oil pressure so I cut it off right away.I tried it again for a few more times of no more than 10 seconds and still nothing. So I pull the fuse for the fuel and pull the plugs and connectors for the coils.I filled the engine with about 15-17 qt. of oil and start cranking it.It finally shows close to 40 psi of oil pressure after a couple of tries.I drain the oil back to the normal level and run it.It was good for a few seconds and then it slowly went back down to 0 so I cut it off again.I tried it a few more times of about 5 seconds and I finally gave up.I really need to get this car running and would like some suggestions/advice on how to solve this problems.Thanx in advance

The Oring is pinched or missing on the pickup tube where it goes in the pump. When you put all that oil in there you had the oil level up to the pump so it started sucking where the Oring is.

LOL yeah it was !!! I thought it would be the o-ring or that the pick-up tube is pinched/cracked.can anyone guide me to the proper place to purchase a replacement o-ring and pick-up tube.I recall that the tube was a bit bent and I straightened it out.So I'm gonna replace that too while I'm down there
