Your going to get mixed reviews. A 7.5" BS will fit on any F body and you can fit anything from a 26x11.50 to a 325/50R15 on it with minor work.
A 6.5" BS will work but on a Camaro you are limited to running only a 26" tall tire.
A 6.5" will work with just about any size on a Firebird/Trans Am with your fenders rolled and a little BFH'ing. You will have to hammer less with the 6.5" BS.

Im limited to running a 26" slick anyways since my car is lowered. I've ran a 28" slick before and it rubbed bad when i was at WOT and the *** end squating down. But it was because my fenders are not rolled and thats where it was rubbing along with a little inside the wheel well... I do plan on rolling my fenders and i'd like to run a 325/50 someday but i just plan on running a 26x11.5 right now.

It needs to be 7.5" or it will stick out.

The picture might not make it look like it, but 6.5" DOES stick out 1" further than 7.5" I think the numbers are self explanatory on that. Here is mine on a 7.5" backspacing. You can tell it's in 1" further than the 6.5 and the 325 tucks pretty well on that wheel. On a 6.5 it would would not tuck under properly. There are alot of pics on here of convo pros with a 6.5 that show you how much they stick out in comparison. The looks of it is subject to difference of opinion of course.

Food for thought.
A 17x11 Torque Thrust II has a BS of 7.75". Now compare that to a 15x10 with a 6.5" BS and the TTII has .25" MORE backspacing than the 15x10. So essentially, the 15x10 will stick out 1/4" further than a Torque Thrust II.
The reason you run into more problems with a 15x10 and a 6.5" BS is because people run a taller tire on the 15 inch rim.
More than likely, people running a 17x11 with run a 315 tire which is 25.7 inches tall. Now try to stick a 28 inch tire that is 12 inches wide on that rim and it will rub just like a 15x10 with a 6.5" BS.
Stick with a 26" tall tire and a 15x10 with 6.5" BS will work just fine.

Your car looks sick man, as well as the others posted above. After my rear end swap I'm going to have to get a drag setup for fun, it just makes the car look like it means buisness LOL

I never understand you. You're the only one I ever see on the 6.5 backspace team whenever there is an arguement against it. Can you just explain WHY? I mean 6.5 or 7.5 shouldn't even be a question. If dude is going to buy brand new wheels why would you suggest 6.5? So he is limited to tire choices? So everyone thinks he lives in a trailer park when they see his car cruising around? I don't get it. Come to the darkside. 7.5 is where it's at.
