Default blinker light help..

Ok guys I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this. I have a 2002 camaro and I keep burning out the drivers side blinker bulb. I just replaced the whole socket that i got from oreily and still the same thing. It melts the lower part of the bulb. What could do this? Any help would be great!

Are you getting any water in the lens? Sometimes, you can have a rock, etc. crack the front of the lens, letting in water. Water + hot bulb = game over.

You can try pressing lightly on the surface of the lens with your finger. Sometimes, that will allow you to see cracks better.

No water, I just put the socket in one day no rain no washing the car and by the next day it was burnt out and all white. I have done a lot of searching and reading on the same things but I have changed the socket. I puyt another bulb in yesterday and it's still working. I tried pulling the bulb and watching it to see if it would burn out but it wouldnt. Could I maybe have a short som how?

A Short is very possiable for this situation.

I cant really see it being anything else becouse im shure you checked your fuses, cleaned the site ect ect

Im checking my UTI guide right now ill add more info in a few

But 1st i have a few more questions.

Does it happen on start up? while driving? or dont know?

What im thinking is if you do have a short it could possiably be triggered by sompthing else in your electrical lines. Im no Technician so yea....

Ok I have burnt out another one, I'm not sure that its not burning out when starting the car. I was going to drive it to the store today and noticed when going to turn and guess what, yes the blinker fluid is gone! It seems most threads like this end up with changing the socket. which I have already done so I'm lost now.

It would be different if it blew once or twice a month, but every day almost it goes...
