Default Opinons on rear support delete only for now.

I am thinking of removing the rear support at this time and getting the battery to the rear with a relocation kit. This would take about 20lbs out of the rear and then I would add atleast that much back into the rear with the battery relocate. I am going to wait for the front bumper support delete for a little while until I can get caught up alittle on the other things I have done over the past few months and I do not want to remove the front until I can get the Burkhart front setup. My only concern is that my front to rear weight % ratio is still too heavy in the front and wasn't sure if leaving some weight over the rear end and just adding the battery back there would be better?? Let me know what you guys think.

I did exactly that. Added the battery to the rear well.

After that as well as other weight reduction and moving some things around picked up better. Also traction on the street on less than perfect roads picked as well.

I would do it the way you have it planned.

Yes sir. same time. Weight i think is the biggest factor in the way my bolt on car runs. And the way it runs on the hose as well.

Unsure... I would assume no b/c the weight of the support is too far back. Weight over and around the rear tire affects hooking...

I just did this mod last night btw!

if you drive your car on the street its stupid to remove the back bumper support. The chances of getting smacked in the *** are very good. Without the support, you car is almost guaranteed to have wrinkled rear quarters even from a light impact. The few pounds you save isnt worth it to me.

On my 94 I took it all out except a small piece of what looked like fiberglass. It was the main structure that the plastic pieces bolt to. I cut that down to about 2 lbs. and it supports the bottom lip of the bumper.

Was under the car the other night, thought I did this mod (was along time ago) guess I just took the plastic out of the back, the steel support is still there. Tried to break off the bolts but they just spin. looks like you need some goofy star socket to get it out. I tried the brake star sockets with no luck. How did everyone else get this off?

I used a 13mm socket... 4 bolts each side. Maybe the brace spacing/holding the bolts broke on ya.

^^^cut or grind the bolt heads off, or an air hammer with a chisel bit, big bolt cutters. if you can get to both sides of the bolt (ive never done this so i dunno) and have access to a welder then weld the brace down just enough to get the bolt out. Or heat it with a propane torch (the bolt i mean) douse it in cold water and hit it with a hammer at the same time. or vise grips.

just throwin ideas out there for ya
