Default Bolt-on guys what do you have for shift points and rev-limiter

I watched my car today and it looks like it is shifting 5800-5900 RPM and the rev-limiter is about 6200 RPM. I have hit that rev-limiter several times now and it usually messes up my runs. Well a Predator is on the way and I want to adjust those settings before I go down again. What is everyone else using and how high can I go on the rev-limiter and stay safe?

That's what I plan on doing. My car is still pulling good at 5900 so I am going to 6k and 6500 on the limiter

I would not trust the stock valvetrain past 6200. Stock springs and pushrods dont like rpms.

Check your valve spring card ,and see what the max rpms they allow.. The lift is mostly for coil bind & cam lift. I shift at 7200rpm and rev.limiter at 7400rpm running a .690" lift spring on a .665" lift cam ,and i can tell when my spring are getting weak when it start to valve float around 6900rpm. I would set the rev. limiter at 6400 rpm and shift at 6100 rpm. Are you running a auto or M6 ?
