Slipping the clutch out from 5200 it boggs to 3100 ish then the nitrous comes on.This is the same way its ran on motor.

Front wheels are CCW 16x3
Rear wheels are Zo6 18's with MT 315 30 18 dragradials at 22 psi.
Car has 1-7/8 LG SuperPro longtube headers,LG Catback, CAI, Custom tuning and the new Nitro Daves Nitrous Outlet 2010 Camaro 90mm plate system pilled at 150.
Stock longblock,stock clutch/trans and stock suspension all around. Weighed in at 3820 with no weight removed from the car beside the wheels and tires front and back. Complete interior remains in the car.
Car has run a best so far of 11.8 @116 on motor making 427 rwhp and 428 rwtq. Didnt dyno the car on nitrous.Assuming it makes around 575 rwhp.
Cam is going in the car this week and should make 500rwhp and run 11.4's on motor and 10.60's on the nitrous. Stock clutch has performed awesome up to this point though getting the 3800lb car off the line takes its toll on it.

We talked about removing as much weight as possible and trying for a freak pass out of it. The way we run the car now is how its driven day to day minus the wheels and tires. Nothing removed,no short belt and no race fuel.

nice times you have there. doing all the bolt ons first then a good sized dual pattern cam on mine then some nice 18 inch drag wheels and itll be time for the strip. but not before i ditch the stock 2 piece drive shaft for something a lil more stout.:cool:

Looks like the drivetrain is holding up pretty well to some abuse. I would love to see the difference the stock wheels would make at this level. It sucks when you can only get in a few passes though.

It is a Z06 Clutch. I have customers with Z06's making north of 700 rwhp on the stock clutch.

My stock clutch is performing flawlessly behind my 700hp 454 LS7. Did gm get it right? It appears so.

The factory clutch for a 2010 camaro is the same as a Z06?

The new Hot Rod mag says that but its no where to be found on the internet. Hennessey has no proof of it anywhere at all.

Ive been searching and still no results on their 10 second pass with their 700 hp Ls9 car.

If anyone remembers Hennessy from about 8 years back he had people wanting to kill him. So I wouldn't be surprised if those number were fabricated just as he was installing imaginary parts on peoples Vipers, or just stealing parts of people's Vipers. The magazines were always on his side even when he was at the height of Screwing people over. There are a lot of people out there that are new to the game and don't know that they are nutswinging from such a shady thief.

Let out of the throttle a little between shifts.Its hard to tell though.

The mag article said it did but you never know with HMS.

So far Orange is the first 11 sec N/A car and the first 10 sec car period. Shooting for the first N/A 10 sec car (cam only) in the next few weeks.

I can't wait until the shootout to see what comes out of the woodwork for fast 5th gens that are being built in semi secrecy. Has anyone seen what LMR is building for the Shootout in the FI section, procharged 427 LSx blocked 5th gen.

Of the folks I know, LMR is talking about bringing the quickest combo if it all comes together. I know there will be some heads/cam cars, and probably some h/c/power adder cars too. What will be tricky is whether folks are NHRA legal and how that's handled.

I cant wait to see what is brought out as well..

Roll cages will be the big deal (under 11.49 and under), what are they going to get away with?

Yeah I was talking to a shop that was interested in going but they don't have a rollbar in the car and other gear that would make the car NHRA legal for low 11's/high 10's.

There will be people doing that allready. However That is a large turn off to many people right now. We bought this car to build a fun fast street car not a race car.. If they want true street cars they need to forget the roll cage rules and have people sign off responsibilty papers.

I would love to go race in the shoot out, but the cage just kills it all. I'm going to the track this weekend to see how fast I can run on motor.

I think the rollbar thing will really hurt the turnout. Or at least we need to bust the cameras out for time trials before everyone gets evicted.

I barely passed tech in 07, it was easier last year, but I bet this year it will be a little harder. My problem was they thought my car would run faster than it did in 07 with no cage, but i've got the full aresenal in a slow car this year(high tens)
