need help choosing a hood for my z28*pics* i need help picking a hood for my red 02 z28. before you vote here is what is on the car and what is going to be on the car shortly. currently have the magnaflow catback with the cannon tips, ss spoiler, removed side molding, and i am looking to get chrome c6z wheels at the end of this month.
so the choices are: vfn sunoco hood w or w/o centerline , ss hood , or ultra z hood

oh and also if you should the sunoco hood let me know which one u picked and if you think i should do the stripes on the side of the cowl and in what color. thanks everyone

What color is the car. I love the SS hood, but I have an SS. If I had a Z, I would probably do the UltraZ hood.
I love the Mecham hood for the T/A something like it with heat extractors would be great for a Camaro.
There is a post in the camaro section about a wide body kit that has a pic of a carbon fiber SS hood.

my car is bright rally red, thats why i tried to get mostly red pics of the cars lol.
PS: davered00ss, do you have a video of your car in the sig? im DYING to hear what that set-up sounds like.

I think the ultra-z helps take the catfish look out, or at least not so noticeable. The breather towards the nose is distracting enough to make the front seem taller, and that looks real good with the LS1.

well, i think im really liking the sunoco hood, but dont know if i want the line or not, on red the hood kind of looks like it blends in, without the line cant really see the other lines unless u get the side stripes, and i was wondering if anyone had silver or white side stripes on a red sunoco .

I'd like the sunoco without the line better. As for the side stripe it depends on your grille. If you have a billet the the silver or white might look ok, but if you have a black grill i'd stay with the black side stripes.

I say Ultra Z w/ blackbyrd silver stripes on it. That camaro with the Ultra Z looks f'n sweet.
If you go with the Sunoco though, get it without the line & the cowl stripes in silver. Everyone does them in black, so silver would be nice and different. The color of your grille doesnt matter either, idk why someone brought it up in another post. I have the slp ss grille, still in the black color on my 35th LE (red w/ silver stripes). I love how it looks and it will go nicely with the berger mod i plan to do in the future, which helps add more black to the car. So dont even think about the color of your grille when deciding on the color of the stripes.
