Default help!

My car had been making a little tiking sound so i was going to look at it after work. On the way home it got louder and then it just stopped, but the car felt different. i opened up the valve cover and the #1 intake rocker bolt was broken. i had to drill it out re tap it and replace the bolt. when i started the car up again(valve cover still off) you could hear a really loud noise on the #1 cylinder. so my valve is fucked right? i dont have the money to fix it right now and i still need the car to get to work so my question is: will it be ok if i take out the rod and rocker arm for the #1 intake valve, put everything back together and disconect the fuel injector and ignition coil and just drive it on 7 cylinders? any input will help thanks!

Yea i think youll be ok. As long as there is nothing that fell into the cylinder. Plus it doesnt sound like you have much of an option. I would pull the spark plug to that cylinder as well, that way you dont get that anoying Jake-Brake effect.

Did you check the pushrod associated with that rocker arm for straightness?

if you pull the rocker arm off and run it you will need to pull the spark plug allso.but it should last.you will still most likely burn the ring out of it driving it for that long.

I wouldn't personally do it but I have several dd options. Just get it done so you don't have do add RIP next to the Camaro too.

Might be good idea to uplug the injector so it doesn't get fuel in that cylinder.

*EDIT looks like you had that down in the original post...*
