best z06 mods
OK I'm picking up a z06 in the next 2 months, maybe sooner. and i have already told my wife that i wouldn't go crazy on it like i did the camaro. she thinks i ruined the camaro. she wants to be able to drive the vette and look classy in it. so my dilemma is, i want to add a few power mods, but i have to keep it in check. so I'm thinking some kind of nice intake mod. i don't know if vettes are like f-bods and just need a lid or what. and i can take it to get a nice dyno tune. i am gonna stay away from the heads and cam. i might get a nice exhaust system, but it has to be able to stay calm at light throttle, because my wife will be taking it on business meetings. i was thinking cutouts, but i dont like how most sound without mufflers. so speak up and let me know what some of you guys have done that keep them classy but still kick out some nice power

you know i could get a nice set of heads though and that wouldnt change the sound or make it louder. so maybe heads and a fast intake and TB maybe. that should get me low 11's and still be perfectly streetable and quiet enough for the wife. ooooorrrrr maybe just supercharge it. and then it will be as quiet as a stock vette but have alot more *****. although i could just drive the camaro when i need something with *****. come on guys help me out here, im running around in circles

intake and tune low 12's all day and some have run high 11's lowest cost. If it were mine i would do intake, longtubes, therm, and tune. Keep the ti catback, it will keep things quiet under low throttle but sound great wot! 11's with seat time.

You could always throw a 100shot at it after the Halltech CAI, Long tubes, and dyno tune. With that, good tire, and seat time you will get high 10's and still be very tame for the wife (it worked for me) gl with whatever you decide.

I ran the LG pros for years, loved them. I ran a small cub'd motor though... not a 427 ci. Recommend larger primaries for these cubes. It'lll support future mods as well. The pro's would be a great tourqy setup(velocity). The LG's are soo thin though,.. they can easily be cracked.

Like previously said. It should get you 40+ to the wheels. I personally gained 42rwhp and 42rwtq with the mods listed and im an 01Z. Also you mentioned heads and intake. If you mean fast 90/90, you wouldnt gain much w/o a cam larger than stock. You would be lucky to gain 10-12hp. not justifyable for 1g. The stock cam is only gonna allow so much air in. just my .02
