Default porting weiand=loss of low end??

I was reading a couple of threads and it seems to make sense. But I want to run it by some of you. If I port my weiand ls1 intake will that mean that I have a loss of low end power because the increased opening in the runners means slower air moving into the chambers. I have a stock cam and not much else, I was planning on porting my tb and opening the TB opening on the weiand, any thoughts...Thanks

Honestly man, there isn't that much that can be ported on those things.

If you want to keep that intake and want a little better performance out of it then consider having it extrude honed.

Nah, I don't want to pay 700 for it, I wasn't sure if I should get a tune, or get it ported. I wonder what would be better?

I have the same intake and haven't begun to mess with it yet, however I was told the best you can really do is match it up to the TB and heads working on the flow rather than the overall volume. Anything else is expensive and won't net you many gains...

HTH...

Seriously dude, you would probably get more performance with a fresh coat of wax on the car to cut down on wind resistance.
