4th gen rear end on 2nd gen??? Hey guys my friend is in the process of building his 70s camaro. he wants to switch to a coil over set up in the rear and also disc brakes. Will the 4th gen rear end set up work?? i have access to a junked 96 camaro.

3rd & 4th gens use a torque arm instead of leaf springs. i guess it would work if you had a trans crossmember with a torque arm mount. this of course also assumes that the control arm and panhard bar setup on the 2nd gen is compatible with the 3rd/4th gen rear, which i am not sure of
