Default Better to lower F/P or change jet to adjust A/F?

If my tune on bottle is a little fat, am I better to lower the FP on my stand alone or keep it up and change the jet to lean it out?

Its a high pressure pump btw, 57 psi IIRC.

what bottle pressure are you running ? if not high might go up 50 lbs or so to lean it out alittle and gain power to. how far off is it from where you want to be ?

depends on how much your off. Most likely i would say to just change the fuel jet.

I'm still running high pressure too. I had to drop my stand alone down to 45 psi to get it in the ball park.

All the high pressure stuff is jetted for off the rail, but I think it acts a little weird with pressure drop and a bigger jet is needed. Once you change to a stand alone it is capable of keeping up with the demand a whole lot better. So you need to drop the fuel pressure some to get it back where it would have been. IMO

That robietherobot.com program helped me out a lot. Got me started with a much safer tune up than the pig rich tune it was when I first went to a stand alone.

Fuel jet would be the best if the sytem works well. at 58psi ou have to lower fp a good bit to make changes. fp adjustments zshould be for minor changes due to weather.
