Default C5 corvette rear squeAK

When i first drive my C5 corvette its fine, but after a few miles, i start to hear a loud squeak at the the rear of the vehicle from the interior which grows louder and louder while im driving. As i slow down for a stop sign or traffic, the squeal slows down. If i keep driving a longer distance, sometimes the squeal will dissappear. Its unpredictable. it doesnt happen at the first start of the vehicle after its been parked for awhile. anyone know what it is?

...i'd have to imagine you have a bad/balljoint/control arm bushing/ or something along the lines of that. Does it change or get worse over bumps?

Does turning affect it?? Rain?

The noise adjusts according to my speed. If I creep along I can hear it squeak like something is caught under the axle or wheel and rubbing. It fine at first startup. Then appears afterr driving a few miles. Sometimes it goes away after I drive further

Hmm. No not a howling. But a squeak at high speed. As I slow or hit the brkes the squeak slows and is more distinct with then sound like wet rubber shoes walking in a hallway. Braking dpesnt change the sound of it or rid the noise. Its a rubbing sound. Sometimes it goes away completely but it will come.

Maybe your parking brake? Maybe when you hear it in a "secure area" lightly pull up on your ebrake and see if changes. The ebrake shoes contact the inside of the rear rotors.

Nope. Didn't change a thing. Not the pareking brake... it stops and rubs on its own
