Default Another trip to the track...

Weather was decent tonight, got a few runs in before it got dark since i had to come to work.

Best run of the night with mods in sig

13.6 @ 106.8 with a 2.2 60'

Best mph was a 13.8 @108 with a 2.3 60'

Launches are getting better but i launched a little too hard once and thought the rear was gonna fall off the back before the 60' line. Worst feeling by far when racing a car.

A few more runs and i think i have a 13.5 in it which im happy with.

All I recall when I tracked my cars is that your MPH goes down on the runs where you actually get some grip on the launch. With those trap speeds I think you are looking at a low 13 second run if you can get some grip. I think I saw you drive around the water in the burn out box in the first video, right?

my car doesnt spin, it either hooks or hops immediately. i thinkt he car will go 13.5 but i dont think the car will 60' much better safely, i tried a hard launch and it hopped instantly, that run was a 14.0 with a 2.5 60'. but yea no burnouts because you simply cant burnout in these cars without hop and there is really no point if you cant launch that hard.

You gotta slip the clutch man, I have been messing around with the idea since I am going to need a new clutch soon anyway. I will HOPEFULLY be at the track next Saturday to try out the new launch and get some nitrous times.

i do slip the clutch from about 3k and that was my best 60' of 2.2........without having something to eliminate hop the limitations on 1/4 mile times sucks with these cars. i have fun with it but it would be nice to be able to really beat on it. i thought about nitrous till my first time at the track and until i do something with the hop there is no point. i see you have the kars kit so your set. i betthe top end in 3rd and 4th is insane with nitrous.

The hop does kill. I think these cars should be able to do 13.1 or so if they can be launched right. Hell, I had a 1987 Mustang GT, in 1987, with 4.11's, Hooker headers and decent exhaust that did 13.5@ 103. I think I will pony up the dough for a decent rear end with anti-hop ability this winter and head out to the track next spring. I have been holding out going to the track with the stock glass ***.

i would think if you could cut under a 2.0 sixty a very very low 13 would be accomplished. but well never find out because no one will spend 7k for a rear end or 2200 for axles for a completely stock car which is understandable.
