Default Need help diagnosing a problem

Hey i got a 2000 trans am, mods in sig. So a couple weeks ago i was driving around, went to get on it and it got up to about 4 grand then started cutting out like it was running out of fuel, so i slowed down and whenever i gave it gas it wanted to die, i had oil pressure still wasnt overheating or nothing like that, so i limped it back home about 2 miles an hour is all the faster it would let me go. Then i go back the next day start it up and it idles alright but once i go to give it gas it tries to die. Then today which is about two weeks later i went and started it, tried to die at first when i reved it up and then after about 3 min i could give it gas and it would wait about a second and then rev up fine but it has about a second delay each time i hit the throttle. Any idea wat this could be? Thanks for the help.

Is there gas in the car? If not, you have a fuel pump thats probably about dead. Or it could be a fuel filter.

+1 for fuel pump or clogged fuel filter.

Change the filter first. If that does not do it..........

Go to your local AZ, advance etc.... and get them to check the fuel pressure for you. Takes 5 minutes. Tap into the schrader valve on the DS fuel rail. Should be 58psi
