Default UMI Performance Releases 1.250" Rear Drag Bar

Hello Members,

UMI Performance now offers 1.250" solid chrome moly drag bar for the 82-02 F-Body. The kit is supplied with everything needed to install it. This kit is a bolt in kit with welding recommended/needed. This means the kit can be installed in your driveway or garage and driven to the nearest shop for the little bit of welding that needs completed. We were able to use factory holes for mounting and used heavy duty u-bolts to attach the bar to the axle tubes. The mounting brackets feature grip teeth CNC machined into them to prevent the bar from rotating on the axle tubes. Please take a look at the pictures below and the link for more information.

As an introductory offer we are selling this item at 20% off making the price $311.99!

They are available powder coated red or black and in stock ready to ship.

I think you should offer a trade in option for those of us who already have one of your bars that hit the shocks....

Hello, I think you are getting us mixed up with another company... this is the first drag bar we have offered. One of our competitors bars is known to hit the shock... this is most likely the bar you have.

the ***** on my AFCO's face forward but when you guys say the **** hits the sway bar, are the ***** facing the sides on the QA1s or strange shocks?

and is this bar going to make a lot of noise over time when the helm joints wear some

There is plenty of clearance for the shocks and adjusting *****. The bar is bent inward to allow room for this. Here is an example picture- http://www.umiperformance.com/catalo...2245al_LRG.jpg

The adjusting ***** on the pictured car have been hit before but it was from our proto-type designs... not this bar.

Hope that helps!

Regardless of what front bar you run the rear end is going to be stiff with this set-up. I have been driving with this bar on the street for about 2 months... more to see how it acts to report to our customers. It has also had a lot of track time. I am running it with our 1.375" front bar, I fill the stiff front bar balances out the rear... but still isn't recommended for a lot of street use.

We will be running it until our stock is depleted and then the sale will be removed... I would say 2 weeks.

Thanks!
Ryan

My bad, I stand corrected. My apologies. Good luck with the new product, looks like a well made piece.
