Default Need Help With 60 Foot Times

Alright suspension gurus. I have gotten to the point now with my car that I need to start on the suspension. I was wondering what some cheap bolt ons were that i can start to buy that would benefit me the most. I want my 60' times to drop! My car is not heavily modified. It just has a medium sized cam, full exhaust, 3500 stall, 3.73s. My suspension is bone stock as right now, except I have my front sway bar off. The best 60 foot i can get right now is a 1.70. I am on fats and skinnies, rear tires and 275/50/15 Et street radials. I am hooking good with these. Traction really isnt a issue...

If you are hooking with the tires and not spinning then you need more power. Then you will need to start looking at shocks, lcas, rear swaybar and torque arms.

Like mentioned above seeing how you are not spinning or have wheel hop issues. Maybe try adjusting your tire pressure and see if that helps. But other than that Mad man is right sounds like you need a little more power to get were you want. If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will be more than glad to help.
Thanks
Brad

Thanks guys, yeah my car dyno'd right at 400rwhp. I figured it needed some more power, but i wasn't really trying to mod the motor anymore. It is very streetable. I was hoping that there was some simple bolts on that would maybe give me some more suspension travel or something. How would the tire pressure help if im hooking?

Seems to me like most people start with LCAs and relocation brackets, and a torque arm. Then a panhard bar, and you can just keep going from there. Shocks/struts, springs, k member, a arms, etc.

yeah i thought about getting a new cross member that the torque arm mounts to instead of the tranny and tubular torque arm. It just seemed like to me with 400 rwhp i should be cutting better than 1.700 60 foot times???

I also vote for LCA's. I've got probably 40rwhp less than you and was able to pull 1.5x consistantly at the track. Other than that, I second that you might need a new stall (or send it in to get modified). The SR on your 3500 might be a little mild. I can't remember if my 3800 has a 2.2 or 2.7, but it hits HARD. I was only running ET streets, as well.

Well heres a update on 60 foot times. The stall finallly started to loosen up. I got it down to a 1.58 buy doing nothing. But it still is a tight conveter and has to low of a SR. So i took it out and got it loosened to a 4000. Gonna put it back in this weekend.
