Default 6LE/McNord Gauges arrived !!!!

I'm stoked, they look AWESOME and I can't wait to get started putting them in this weekend. Perfect timing being delivered Friday before the Labor Day holiday ! I'll get pics of the install and follow up in this thread when they're in.

Cheers !
Rob (Bad30th)

BTW, sorry for crappy camera phone pic, I'm at work and don't have a better camera.

Going to look sick

Hit Sommer86 up about the shift plate overlay, he found a much better way than just sticking it on top of the plastic...

Well the install took me all of about 30-40 minutes, heh, pretty straightforward. I will probably wind up taking it back apart and adjusting it just a hair to the left since I'm OCD about that kind of stuff haha.

Also, here are pics - the red tint for Firebirds/TA's is in the factory overlay and not in the gauge console itself. With this overlay there is no tint to the transparency and you can get whatever color LED bulbs to change the lighting scheme. I got blue 360 degree LED bulbs, and it looks GREAT (I will get some pics of them illuminated too, didn't get around to that yet). The 30th logo lights up nice.

Also haven't gotten around to installing the A4 shifter overlay yet, waiting on some tips/tricks I've heard rumors about...

SoooOOoOoo, here are pics !

They definitely need to be moved to the left, but other than that look great!

Look nice Rob, wish I had the money to get the climate control/headlight overlays when I ordered mine but they are a little pricey for me. On a side note, just heard the mailman drive off and had to go check the mail. Sure enough, there they were.

In retrospect, it probably would have been possible to put the needles through the holes in the overlay and not remove them, but meh - no biggie. I took pics of where the needles were before I removed them with the key in the accessory position, plus I have HPT scanner to verify the gauges against. So far they're looking fine with the car running, just need to go for a drive to verify the speedo.

I also put the A4 shifter overlay in this morning, just need to snap some pics of everything. I also put the factory bulbs back in the coolant/oil temp and volts/fuel gauges, so they light up white, leaving the RPM and speedo lit blue, and blue turn signal indicators.

Pics to come asap.

Looks great! I always like how the finished product in the car looks better than the artwork even

those are slick! wish I could afford some right now

how long you gonna be making these for Mark?

Thanks on the heads up about the tinting Rob... I see now that the whole plastic piece is actually replaced and not just a sticker that goes over the tinted piece... like in past overlays... Let's see some night shots!
