Its more like Camaro 12.9 to Mustang 13.5....there not that slow to say their a 14 second car. They rated them on overall performance, the Mustang has a Track pack and really livens them up on road course. Its all about preference...you either like a Camaro, or you like a Mustang.

I was talking about the camaro. It went 0-100 in 10.8 and ran the 1/4 in 13.3@111. It took 2.5 seconds to go 11mph. When you do the math it ran 9.26 miles for every second when doing the 0-100.

dude you are comparing an NFL pro to a little league sixth grader

it would be closer in comparing the v-6 camaro to the mustang gt

ford has to put their mustangs on "breathing machines" aka supercharger to compete with a ss camaro

if you wanna go slow get a ford if you wanna real sports car get the ss

this comparison is more fair, a stock ss vs a gt with a blower

here is the 2010 roush 427R mustang "supercharged" lol
basically a gt with a blower and overpriced badges and decals
0-60...4.7sec
0-100..11.00
1/4 mi..13.1@108

The "track pack" is as mild a suspension setup you can get on the mustang. The steeda comps on my car are much more than +75lb over stock rates, that's just silly. And the FRPP non-adjustable dampers are a joke.

I'm sure the camaro's are as well. These "tests" are so lame. Tune both cars engines on a dyno to their potential with completely stock setups along with the best suspension components money can buy on the aftermarket and retest. Then, and ONLY then will it be a true test of car vs car. Then again, it's not fair because mustangs have had five years of major aftermarket support with suspension components. We may never see a fair comparison...

Whats lame about magazines testing 2 compairable cars stock vs stock? Is it because the mustang never wins in anything but "better interior" quality and **** like like that?

Is that base hp you got in your sig, or RWHP....im just wondering, seems high, especially on a Mustang Dyno... 337Rwhp with those mods on a MD seems off...An LS1 with a CAI,Tune and Full exhaust wouldnt pull 337Rwhp on a mustang dyno. Especially with 4.10s.... Honestly it would be hard to see those numbers on a Dynometer from a S197 mustang with those mods.

Lol, I can't argue with that... but the L99 auto ss I saw today made me stop and admire the interior for enough time that I felt like a lech and looked around for security before I moved on.

Interior aside, I'd love to see a fair comparison of mustang/camaro and am excited that this may finally be the time we'll get to see it. Good times ahead, I hope.

My car was tuned at this shop http://www.murillomotorsports.com/

I had the 4.10's along with 20'' wheels and 275/35 rears at the time. Lightweight driveshaft...

why would I post fwhp numbers??? to show my massive 400hp lol?

The sales numbers and track times are giving it to the camaro by a landslide...

can't wait to see who is quicker when they compare the 2011 camaro SS and Mustang Gt. I have a feeling that the SS will lose. It is about time ford puts a motor in the gt's. Tho you have to thank GM and Dodge for that.
