Default turbo guys. these the perfect up and forward headers?

so it was pretty much the ls3 c6 headers but I stumbled across these on ebay and they look like for a couple of hundred more than the cast manifolds they almost work as well as custom made forward and upward facing headers.

anyone know anything good or bad about OBX, or these headers in particular?
it would be really nice if they would work with the coils in the stock location

also, what type of flange is that on the end? I browsed summit racing and could not find a suitable reducer.

ive also seen them crack. they are just made from thin material.
you dont want to hang your turbos right off them. make sure they are braced well.
hard to beat them for the price.

dammit. I hate that they could possibly crack. they look well made. I guess Im more concerned with being able to use the stock coil location and wires.

do you think they'll work for that?

easier to mix and match stock manifolds. if your car has a large steering gear box, the truck forward facing manifold may hit. i have found that using a 98-99 pass fbody used on driver side facing forward clears the larger steering gear boxes. and tucks in closer to the engine. although eliminates the use of
ls1 fbody alt configuration.

Those header could work nice, just do away with the flange, and weld on a vband. Build from there. I'm curious how they would work on an S10.

NemeSS, you raise a good point...They could be pretty close to the valve covers. Any pics of using the '98 Fbody manifolds on the DS? Im looking for something to fit an up-coming S10 build. Not worried about Alt mount. Thats easy enough to address later on.
