Went to a tailgate Saturday night @ the UH game (Go Coogs) and the hamburger meat wasn't thawed out yet. So.... I did this. Talk about improvising on the spot.

I have guys on job sites (asphalt paving) who take thier food and wrap it in tinfoil and submerge it in 300 degree hot asphalt on the pavers, they say it cooks really well but when they pull it out it's got hot asphalt all over it....the tinfoil anyway. It's got fumes though, it can't be healthy.

Some people use charcoal or add hickory [smoke] to get that extra flavor they are looking for.
