Well we tried just about everything and the car still overheats. Heres the specs it's a 427 bbc w/ 13.5 compression. We have a CSR electric water pump, aluminum radiator and the car still get's hot. Timing, gaskets are all good. We tried different thermostats as well. 160-180 - standard and the high flow. The car will stay cool for about the first 5-7 minutes then it starts going up 190-195-200,etc. The aluminum radiator we have it has a large single fan which is mounted more on the drivers side and it has a shroud covering the whole back so it just comes out the drivers side area. The transmission cooler we have is very big as well it blocks the whole radiator beleive it or not but it's not mounted against it - it has about 6" or so cleareance between the two. We think maybee the car is not getting enough air because of the trans cooler blocking it. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
