Default OFI Overheating

I have the basic OFI kit, the engine bay is hot. I mean its uncomfortable to touch anything. Does anyone else have this issue with this kit? My temps are at 190, but i am concerned by my engine temps.

Did you wrap any of the hotside? I'm worried I may have to wrap mine to keep it cool. I think it'll make the kit look like crap though.

I have a VFN SS hood where the scoop is straight through. I'm hoping that helps get rid of some of the heat while driving. I hope to know more in the next few weeks as the car should be on the road soon. Do you have any problems with hoses or wires melting with the kit? I have triple heat tape on my PS lines.

190 is REAL COOL. **** gets hot under turbo cars hood. Only things you can do are common knowledge.....turbo blanket, wrapping/coating hot side, glass hood with scoop or cowl exit.

my ofi headers i had cermaic coated and they still throw off some good heat after driving for awhile. i did have the problem with the power steering overheating, used dei heat shield on all my wires around the headers. found a billet pullet for the ps pump and since changing that no overheating of power steering.still thinking about wrapping the headers anyways to try and keep a little more heat in the headers.also going to add a turbo blanket
