Default Getting There.... Finally in the 9's

Well, after a very disappointing summer in which I only made it out twice before this weekend, I had a blast.

Back story--tune on stock PCM was completely jacked after switching over to the 4150 TB, Vic Jr and direct port setup. After getting the run around from a couple "reputable" LS tuners, I decided to jump on a deal to go with BS3.

I started with the motor tune on Saturday. Made good ground, and had a solid tune running 12.0's on motor with 12.7 AFR and 28 degrees of timing.

Sunday:

100 shot ended up being 10.68 @ 125 not great, but it felt good to go quick again.

Decided to hit the full shot with a 2.5 sec. delay. The car launched horribly, but trapped 140 Not a bad way to end the day
Finally today--

I made some chassis adjustment, and loosened the front shock up a little. Car went 9.92, 9.81, and finally

R/T: .3190
60ft: 1.33
330: 3.9668
594ft: 5.7889
1/8 mile: 6.1929 @111.37
1/4 mile: 9.7420 @ 136.84

I had to peddle, and had a little mis-shift. Basically it's been a while since I've launched like that so I short shifted, and was caught by suprise.

All-in-all, not too bad for the first real time out with the combo, and having an amateur tune.

Thanks to everyone that helped me out through all of this BS. The car has more in it, and if I can find some more nitrous without having to buy a whole mother bottle, I'll be out there again with better air.

I'm uploading the vids right now. Something still isn't right. I'm hitting the whole 300 off the line. I'm just happy to be out running again. I think I might keep this little motor another year. I have some more tricks up my sleeve that will net some ET. Maybe even a run at the magic number. LOL I actually think she has a .50 in her as she sits on a clean run.

oh yea... im sure you have alot left in her being this is your first time out. Prolly can get it to leave a little better too.

These little motors are a lot of fun. Def. keeps the cost down where I am at right now.

How do you like your PTC converter? would you reccomend them?

Here's the vid. I love my PTC. It really needs punched in the mouth though. It's def. not a motor convertor. This winter is going to be all about weight reduction and a trans brake.

It looks like you need to play with the front shocks some. They look like they're rebouding too much and making for an interesting ride.

Congrats on starting to getting it sorted out. A 1.33 sixty off of the foot brake is nice.

They're only single adjustables Most of that bouncing was driver error. I peddled, then had a self inflicted shift error. Just didn't think I had that kind of tune up in it. Really caught me off guard.

Nice car, did you have to get rid of the cowl and wipers to run the 4150 style TB?

yeah, I notched the cowl and ditched the wipers. Then just cut the plastic and throw it back on

Am I just seeing things or was that a moose that ran across the track at the end? Nice to see ol' blue's twin out there again.

Tighten up the front and it will go faster.
