window scraping
i rolled the window down on the drivers side, and it scraped against something on the outside of it inside the door, i wiggled it and it went away, has anyone else had this happen to them and is there a fix for this?

i just finished replacing my window motor, i noticed one of the window fuzzies that guides the window up and down was broken off. it had 2 prongs sticking out that could scratch the glass. it was on the in side of the glass. just a thought.

There shouldn't be anything mechanical on that side. The only thing contacting the outside of the glass is the outside weather stripping. Maybe you had a stone or something caught between the weatherstrip and glass? If so, it may be sitting in the bottom of your door cavity now. (Or it could be so small you won't be able to see it.)

that is weird, i didnt realize right away that you said outside of the window. i would still take the panel off jut to make sure something else isnt jammed in there . 5 screws on the panel itself. take the corner piece next to the mirror off, gently pull up on the door panel dont forget to disconnect your switches and that little lite.

alright guys, ill do that today. it has about 4 cat nail sized scratches on that side so it may be more than once stome or something. i thought it was something mechanical since its more than 1 scratch.
from what i know now, it happens about midway down the door

Watch the glass as it goes up and down. At different heights, it presses on the weatherstripping differently. At mid height, it shouldn't be on the weatherstripping very hard. Maybe there is a wire or something loose in the door. (Your going to have to get in there and look.)
