Just got done Whistlering the headlights and ****...
Well I picked up some stock Camaro headlights on the boards here that I planned on doing the Whistler mod to. Everything went perfectly fine until I went to remove the painters tape that I had laid down to protect the chrome backing. When I pulled the tape up, some of the chrome backing came up with the tape in a few small areas. ****... It's not enough to affect light output but it looks kind of shitty now. Do I have any options or am I just stuck with it... ?
Thanks
Thanks

if its little spots where you can barely notice i would use that but if they are larger areas idk as of the paint most of them are just silver with more metallic to make look like chrome they do have a chrome paint but it really expensive. well good luck with fixing them

i see this happening to a lot of people. you need to use a very light-adhesive tape.
if you pulled up paint from the ribbed area, you can just go ahead and paint that black too. but if it's from the very back i think the chrome touch up paint should be fine and unnoticeable.

GET some CHROME (mirror) vinyl! Same thing happened to me, so I bought some chrome vinyl and cut out pieces to fit. It looks very nice and you can't even tell which headlight received the treatment...

I ordered it from Brent Franker (I don't know if he still sells it)
He gave me 8"x8" sheet for $1-$3 (I don't remember exact cost)
I cut out little rectangles to fill the "scarred" spots. It really dpends how bad they are. There was only like 7-8 scarred spots to fill on my light...
