Default Anyone gone 250 miles on ET streets?

With the C5 it's a pita to take tires with me, has anyone tried driving this far on ET streets (all freeway, ~75-80mph). What PSI did you use? Were they melted by the time you got back home?

I drive with mine all the time. I think the longest trip i ever took on them however was about 150 miles to ESP, then did some dyno tunning, then 150 miles home.
I ran them around 16psi, and they wernt all that bad.
I dont think id worry about it.

I drive 52 miles to the track on ET Streets. My first set lasted approximately 4000 miles.

Terry,
I probably put around 1600 miles on my old 28x10.50x15 ET Drags just driving the 75 miles one way to the drag strip. They worked just as good when I took them off as when I put them on. They were probably 75 % worn after numerous races and 1600 street miles.

LOL.

Yah, I got tired of swapping tires at the track with my car. It's about 250 mile round trip each time I go to the track, and I run the ET streets with 25 or so in them.

me too. I drove them 150 miles to the track and back twice. that is a total of 600 miles on I37. i used 30 psi but they were still a bit loose at 75mph. they ended up staying on the car for 2 years. my secret was my turn downs. i just told the muffler shop to point the turn downs at the rear tires. then once i drove to the spot that we were going to race at, the tires were so warm that i did not have to heat them up. they justed hooked like that.

oh yea, check the weather before you go. one of those times i got stranded in san antonio after almost eating **** on the freeway because i didn't know it was going to ran the next day. i just ended up borrowing a set of skinnys from a freind and put them in the back. thats right, 4 skinnys all the way around. that is the best rain tires i ever had.

Be careful if it rains! I bought my ET Streets from a friend that used to drive them 100 miles to the track. The last time he tried that he found some rain sprinkling on the highway and he spun around 4 times. That is why he sold them.

Just watch the weather before you go. And go with about 28-30 psi to keep some of that swaying down.
