Widest 275/40 r17 tire?

Widest 275/40 r17 tire?
how you doing?, i'm looking for the widest 275/40 r17 tire, Wish brand is the widest tire? becaese i saw that the Nitto extreme 555 is a little smaller than a Michelin pilot GT that i had few years ago, so if any can help me with that would be great.

i always thought the 275 signified it was the widest. i would find a tire and run either a 285 or a 275. if it looks smaller then measure it and sue the company for false advertisment. hahaha jp. i didnt realize that there were different sized 275s

i am a firm believer in that ALL 275s are roughly the same width in TREAD width, what actually counts. every tire other than the 555R has a sidewall. it curves out, then back into where the rim sits, adding close to an inch of overall width. so buy a tire that suits your needs

ok here is how tire sizing works, 275-width, 40-height 17-rim size. the difference you may notice in the width is the size rim its mounted on. but that was usually in a tire with a taller height, like a 60 series. i think all the manufactures use the same measurments. but then again they have been using chinese labor.
