Default Quick question when switching from perimeter to center bolt heads

I have a 98 LS1 out of a Firebird with 806 perimeter bolt heads I am rebuilding. I am swapping to a set of 241 center bolt heads.

I know I will need the center bolt valve covers and gaskets. I will also need the coil pack brackets. Are all coil packs the same for a 98+ LS1s? Will my 98 coil packs bolt on to the newer 99+ brackets?

Is there anything else that is different between the 2 heads? My research has said no, but just wondering.

Thanks!

Believe the coil brackets are all the same, your coils will just bolt on to them, you will need bolts, I actually tapped mine I believe that GM must use some kind of special bolt, because I bought mine brand new and the holes were not threaded. something else to consider is that the centerbolt valve covers may or may not have the two nipples on the right side cover, soem just have the one nipple where the hose from the throttle body goes.

So I will need 99+ LS1 specific coil brackets for sure it sounds like.

Thanks for the info.

LS2 brackets are different as well, and won't mount the LS1 coils, so watch out for that as well.
